FIA EVENTS
The Foodservice Industry Association hosts member events on a regular basis and these include:
Foodservice Forums (FS Forums) - which have very interesting speakers and offer an ideal environment for networking, professional development and hosted as a breakfast meeting.
Business Blackboard - these events are designed as a workshop style with key facilitators on specific topics.
Foodservice Executive Roundtables - these are by invitation and are held as and when required with specific groups with the FIA to discuss specific topics that are relevant to the industry. We have a specific Foodservice Distributor Group (food based) and also a Foodservice Equipment and Supplier Group (non food).
FS Site Inspections - these events occur when there are new venues or special places of interest to members.
FIA Foodservice Trade Shows - Each year the committee consider the need for trade shows and a decision is based on members feedback. We also provide other avenues for members to be involved within the industry and we also support trade shows held by our members. FIA will also exhibit on behalf of the assn at some trade events.
Sponsorship - Through industry innovation, we are also looking at various sponsorship opportunities which provide a more cohesive forum for members to be involved. (see News/Events/ Sponsorship for further information).
Foodservice Industry Awards of Excellence - Following on from an amazing inaugural event in 2006, the event has grown in 2007, 2008 and now into its fourth year. The awards will be presented in several categories and include all sectors of the industry. The pinnacle award is for the Legend and this will be announced prior to the event.
FIA Research - As the peak body for the foodservice industry, we are often invited to participate in research within the industry from both a federal and state level.
FIA Chef's Table - these luncheons are held to provide a wonderful networking platform for members and to discuss industry issues.
FS Training - One of our members organisations has established courses in specific foodservice training courses in place and the FIA supports this course. Please see Training tab (under events).
