The FIA celebrated a fantastic night at the Sofitel Melbourne, for the Foodservice Industry Awards of Excellence 07, with 32O guests present to recognise the achievements of so many. Well done to all the finalists.
The President, Michael Luxmoore in his speech was proud to see the FIA has grown to be the peak body for the industry voice. In highlighting the changes to the "Y Generation", he asked that we look to the baby boomers and the older generation of the industry and take note of what they have achieved - they can teach us so much more.
Bill O'Neill from South Gippsland Catering Service, now part of the PFD family, gave an oration of one of his special poems, a tribute to those that have been made legends and the FIA. Thanks Bill - that was great.
